Concrete or pavers?
Both are good — they solve different problems:
Concrete
Lower cost per square foot, fast to install, clean modern look. It will eventually crack — the craft is in placing joints so cracks happen where they’re invisible. Repairs are patch-visible, which is the main trade-off.
Pavers
Higher upfront cost, but individual pavers can be lifted and reset after settling or a repair — no patch scars. Big range of styles, and slip resistance makes them the default around pools. HOAs in many communities prefer or require them.
We quote both honestly when the site allows either, with the trade-offs in writing.
Upfront pricing. No hidden fees.
The price we quote is the price you pay. Estimates are valid for 10 days — schedule within that window and we honor the quote, provided the scope of work and material costs don’t change.

FAQ
Concrete, Pavers & Driveways — Questions We Hear
Do I need a permit for a driveway in South Florida?
Often yes — especially where the driveway meets a public right-of-way, or when you expand the footprint. Requirements vary by city, and some HOAs add their own approval. We confirm what applies at your address and file it.
How long before I can use a new concrete driveway?
You can typically walk on it the next day and park on it after about a week. Pavers are drivable as soon as the edges and joint sand are set — usually right after we finish.
Can you match my existing pavers for a repair?
Usually. Many South Florida paver lines have been in production for years, and blends can get close even when exact dye lots differ. If the match won’t be clean, we tell you before work starts — sometimes reworking a border is the better-looking fix.
Why is my patio settling?
Almost always water or roots moving the base. Fixing the surface without fixing the base repeats the problem, so we correct drainage and compaction first. That’s also why our quotes name what’s under the surface, not just the finish.
